Fairy Gnome House Workshops in June 2014
I haven't posted the last three workshops. Sorry- I have been focusing on other areas of my life. But back by popular demand is an in-house workshop for all you local builders. Choose June 21st OR the 22nd. 10-2 PM. Or get together 4 other people who want to build a house and book a workshop at a time of your own choosing! I look forward to working with you and your family.

Oh boy- its that time of year, If you see me running about the hills with my saw and collection bags don't be surprised!
Berkeley Rose School still has a few spaces this Saturday the 2nd! Its i n the morning so you can still go look for fairies in Berkeley hills when you are done.
Then November 17th I have an in studio workshop here in Santa Rosa. Sunday the 17th, from 2-6PM. I'll have to have a cookie break in the middle of that one. Only a few spaces left so contact me directly if you want to reserve a seat!

Two New Houses
Two new houses! For ages I have wanted to make an ocean house and have collected shells and driftwood for it for some time. I can't imagine ever doing it again, since sea-glass is rather hard to find these days, even at Glass Beach. But you are welcome to bring your own stash to one of my workshops!
You will just have to come to Summerfield Schools winter Faire to see my two new houses in person, as they are much better seen that way, next Friday evening or Saturday the 8th and 9th. Here's more info: sono-ma.com
I will also display my newly reconstructed woodland house, seen below, and announce when my next workshop will be. The houses will be shown in a fabulous fairy museum created by Marc Feyh www.thefairymuseum.com.

Berkeley Rose School Fall Workshop
whew! 21 houses- a HUGE workshop- I survived but was out of commission for a few days after. Lots of lovely fairy homes were made, though I think such a large workshop will only work in the future if I have more helpers (though Andrea and my son Benjamin were both wonderful!!). Lots of girls with bling houses (all sparkle marble, feathers and deorartion) and parents making dynamic homes from the petite and comfy, with quiet fairy gardens on their stoops, to tall stately houses with topiary pine cones and winding staircases.
As I mentioned the houses will be all lit up for a evening fairy walk at the Berkeley Rose Schools Enchanted Evening. There will be 2 french chefs a baking and musicians a playin'. November 2nd from 4-7:30. Purchase tickets at http://www.berkeleywaldorf.org . I will be there this year!

Workshops are Coming
Oh goodness- I am so sorry that I have been a bad bad blogger. I had three workshops, all undocumented here. My oven is full of wood again, a lovely cookie sheet of moss topped with small rounds of wood for this weekends workshop at Rose school in Berkeley. Twenty people all signed up in a few days! Twice as many as I am usually willing to do. But the demand is high- there is even a wait list. This year I must actually attend the Enchanted Evening on Nov. 3 that Berkeley rose school has, where they light up all the houses that have been built. I have heard it is marvelous. I will get you all the info on Sunday.
In other news- I plan to have a in-studio workshop here. I do these only once a year now as clearing the space means setting aside my other life/lives, both my painting area and my boys art area, to make room for students. I'm thinking mid-November...preferences? Perhaps the 17th or 18th?

January 29th Workshop
Ack- the holidays seem to have pulled me away from keeping up this blog. I have pics to post from a private workshop but that won't happen until most likely next week. busy busy. Meanwhile I want to announce the next workshop!
January 29th, Sunday, from 10-2 at my studio in Santa Rosa. I have three confirmed seats, so only 3-4 left depending on numbers. Let me know soon if you would like to attend. Cost is 70 dollars which includes all materials.
